MIAMI BEACH, Fla. — A man was walking on Saturday night in South Beach when two men approached him from behind and stole his iPhone 13 at gunpoint, according to the Miami Beach Police Department.
The victim and police officers used the Find My iPhone app to find Radames Viera with the iPhone 13 in his pocket and claimed he had bought it from someone, according to the arrest form.
The victim identified Viera, 40, as one of the robbers who held him at gunpoint near the intersection of Fifth Street and Meridian Avenue, according to the arrest form.
Police officers arrested Viera at about 12:40 am, on Sunday, near the intersection of 19th Street and James Avenue, according to the arrest form. Viera did not have a gun, police said.
Records show corrections officers booked Viera at about 6 am, on Sunday, at the Turner Guilford Knight Correctional Center and they were holding them there without bond on Monday night. He is facing a charge of armed robbery with a deadly weapon.
